Cat Island Information
Located over 300 miles from Miami,
"Cat Island" should not be confused with "Cat Cay", which is part of
"The Bimini Islands". Cat Island's distinction from the other
Islands is that it is home to the highest point in the Bahamas.
Mount Alvernia is 206'above sea level.
Cat Island is the sixth largest
island in the chain. It is located approximately 135 miles
southeast of Nassau and 25 miles south of Eleuthera. Cutlass
Bay is a short drive.
Cat Island is the ideal vacation
spot if you're looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. It's 150
square miles of beaches, forests, and rolling hills gives Cat Island
the feeling of peaceful tranquility. With a population under 2,000,
you'll be able to enjoy quiet walks on the beautiful beaches...including the eight mile long "Pink Sand Beach".

for 2 to 6 people to sleep comfortably.

furnished and equipped with all the modern conveniences, we've
included such items as air conditioning, telephone, TV, VCR, movie
videos, DVD player, stereo and CD player.
The kitchen is
fully functional including a dishwasher and microwave. |

PILOTS: Land and store your plane at the Cutlass Bay Airport FOR
FREE.
Diving and fishing trips can be arranged.
A small power
boat is available at the private marina if you'd like to go out
fishing or sight-seeing on your own.
A barbecue grill
is included for your "catch of the day" or ask about having "Darnelle",
a local chef, stop by to prepare a traditional Bohemian meal.

Enjoy having
dinner on the stone terrace or wood deck as the moon beams over the
ocean.
While beach
combing and snorkeling along the beach, you may be lucky enough to
find one of the beautiful "Queen Conch" shells. The natives will
nick the shell to remove the meat and throw the shell back into the
sea.

beautiful blue water and white sand beaches.

bedroom plus loft 1½ bath home fully furnished with a large deck and
a terrace over-looking the beach.
Tennis
court, additional outdoor shower, propane barbecue grill, bicycles,
sea kayaks, and a 12' boat with a 5hp Mercury outboard motor.
2 queen
beds and 1 full size mattress in the loft.
Full
kitchen includes: microwave, oven/stove, dishwasher, toaster,
blender, coffee maker, cappuccino machine, dishes/utensils,
cookware, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
Household includes: air conditioning, TV, VCR and movie videos,
stereo and CD player, DVD player, adult board games, telephone,
modem jack, linens/towels, beach towels, beach chairs and beach
umbrellas.
Basic
items include: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap,

Private pilots will have use of the private airstrip and may park
their plane in a FREE hanger.

vehicle is available by request from the home owner. Rate
information may be obtained at the time reservations are made.
